The SOE offers a number of degree programs geared toward the professional development of teachers, administrators and others working in the broad field of education and human development. Certified teachers seeking to advance their skills or to augment their areas of specialty may be interested in our Master of Arts in Education program, which offers multiple specialties and endorsement options. The Master of Science in Science Education (MSSE) provides science educators a route for advancement in science pedagogy. A Master of Education in Special Education is available for certified teachers seeking specialization in instruction for special needs students. For aspiring administrators a number of options are available including the Master of Arts in Education Leadership (MAEL), an Education Specialist degree and a doctorate in Education (Ed.D.). Additional tracks in the doctoral program are suited more generally to students seeking advanced study in other areas related to the field of human development.
