Bio

She received her bachelor's degree at Central Michigan University, her master's degree at Eastern Michigan Universitym and her doctoral degree at University of Kansas.

Her doctoral gress specialized in behaviour disorders, violent/aggressive behaviours, and autism with her disseration titled: "The Relationship Between Academic Achievement and Salient Behavioral Outcomes Among Students with Disabilities, At-Risk Students, and Typical Achievers."

Dr. Byrd's Professional experiences have included work at: The Center for Research on Learning, University of Kansas, Autism Asperger Resource Center, Kansas City, Kansas, KU/Wyandotte Comprehensive Special Education Cooperative Partnership Autism/Behavior Disorders Pilot Program, Kansas City School District, Instructor at Central Michigan University, Teacher/Coordinator/Consultant/Special Education Teacher; Carmen-Ainsworth Community Schools, Flint, Michigan.
