Dr. Nancy L. Douglas has been working at the University of Michigan-Dearborn since September of 1999. She was promoted to Associate Professor in June of 2005.
Dr. Douglas is the coordinator of the Reading Specialist Endorsement Program (BR).
Dr. Douglas also coordinates the Early Literacy Program, a volunteer program held in the Westwood School Distrinct every summer.

Dr. Douglas' primary focus is in the field of critical reading and critical literacy. Another strain of research is on-site research in area schools, working with students who struggle with literacy.
