Mesut Duran is an Associate Professor of Technology at the School of
Education, University of Michigan-Dearborn. He is also the Associate
Dean for Research and Administrative Affairs.

Dr. Duran completed his B.A. at the Hacettepe University in Ankara,
Turkey. He received M.Ed. in Microcomputer Applications in Education and
Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Ohio University.

Dr. Duran’s teaching and research interest focuses on technology and
teacher education. He specializes in and writes about technology
integration in teacher preparation programs. He has published numerous
articles and book chapters on this topic. Dr. Duran’s scholarly interest
also includes conducting research on STEM education and trends and
issues in educational technology.
