Why choose the Master’s of Arts in Education at the UM-D?

There are several compelling reasons; you will earn a University of Michigan degree at a competitive cost in a program designed for working professionals. The UM-D M.A. in Education provides students the opportunity to study with outstanding faculty and students in small classes. Our tuition rates are very competitive and no other universities can offer a University of Michigan degree. In addition, this degree program is designed for working educators. Courses are offered in the late afternoon and early evening hours, and during the summer to accommodate working students. 
The program is designed for teachers who wish to strengthen their competencies, expand their professional outlook, and gain greater knowledge and understanding of their subject specialization.  This program will also prepare teachers for a renewal of a Provisional Certificate or a Professional Education Certificate.

Within the 30 credit master’s degree program, teachers may earn endorsements in:
