YES Foundation's KinderCamp finds a home at UM-Dearborn's Environmental Interpretive Center
Kindercamp is an action-packed learning experience for at-risk Kindergarten students in the Detroit area. Located at the UM-D’s Environmental Study Center, the camp emphasizes reading literacy with an environmental focus. Each week the children immerse themselves, coached by their Teacher and student teaching assistants, in a project emphasizing a literature-rich theme. Kindercamp operates June 25th thru August 3rd M-F with Fridays reserved for field trips including a study tour of the Environmental Study Area organized by the staff and faculty of the Environmental Study Center
