This class provides key understanding of the board's role in curriculum, instruction and assessment and the resulting impact on student achievement.

Course Objectives:

When you complete this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify state and federal requirements related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment
  • Discuss the relationship between curriculum and student achievement
  • Identify major steps in the process of curriculum development
  • Explain the school board's role in determining a district's curriculum, instructional, and assessment policies
