It has been said that the only constant today is change. Elected leaders are expected to guide others through the confusion and uncertainty that comes with change. This course covers the three stages of transition that people must pass through in order to successfully manage change and supplies strategies for navigating the seas of turbulence change brings. Participants will discuss the difference between change and transition, the three stages of transition that people go through when experiencing change, and strategies for support at each stage of the transition.
Course Objectives: When you complete this course, you will be able to - describe differences between change and transition
- explain the importance of proactively managing transition to achieve positive results
- discuss the three stages of transition that people go through when experiencing change
- identify strategies that can be employed at each stage of transition to minimize disruption and facilitate positive outcomes
