This class focuses on effective oral communication for school leaders. Participants will discuss speaking with confidence and using persuasive communication techniques to express leadership. Discover how your background and life experiences can help you relate to your audience and establish your credibility. Practice your public speaking and receive feedback in a safe and comfortable environment.
Course Objectives:
When you complete this course, you will be able to - describe key characteristics of four common speech situations
- detail key differences in the type and level of preparation for each of the four types of speech situations
- explain the importance of identifying and adapting your presentation to your audience
- identify simple tools/techniques for overcoming fear and anxiety related to public speaking
- articulate techniques for developing and delivering effective presentations
