Students may apply for transfer of credit for a maximum of 15 semester hours from any University of Michigan campus or 6 semester hours from another accredited collegiate institution. Only graduate credits earned during the last five years that relate to the program and for which a grade of B or better was received can be considered for transfer. Transfer credit can be requested only after admission to the program and completion of at least 6 graded semester hours at UM-D. Correspondence and extension courses as well as continuing education units are not considered for transfer of credit. All courses to be transferred must be approved by the MS/SE Program Director. A request for transfer of credit form and two official copies of the transcript must be submitted. Enrolled students must obtain prior approval of the MS/SE Program Director to elect courses off campus.
